Acoustic Guitar

Don Bidell began his musical odyssey in 1990 with a local Grand Rapids acoustic trio named Carom. Featuring crisp harmonies within originals and covers, Carom was a staple on the GR music scene for 5 years. At that point, Don needed to explore his love of electric music and formed Hangtime in the mid-90’s. Hangtime had a successful run for 5 years as well. After playing in a variety of lesser-known acoustic and electric bands after Hangtime, Don began playing solo acoustic shows. In 2002, Don co-founded In The Red, a talented classic rock cover band that still plays the GR circuit today. Don left ITR in the summer of 2006 to pursue other musical interests when ITR changed its musical focus to other types of music than classic rock. Don formed Chill Factor in October of 2006 for a short run on the bar circuit before forming Don Bidell/Acoustic Brew in the spring of 2007.

Acoustic Brew is just as it states: an amalgamation of different types of music featuring great harmonies and music that focuses on the great singer/songwriters from the 60’s onto today. Acoustic Brew features different artists within its organization. Whether it is a solo show or a duo featuring tremendous local players, Acoustic Brew is sure to please even the most finicky music lover.
