Don Henke and the Echomen (Owned Turk Lake Bar) (RIP)
Donnie and the Echomen consisted of Don Henke on drums and vocals, Willie (James) Miner on sax and vocals, Bob Mazur (RIP) on horns and vocals, Rod Bowman on guitar and vocals, and Joe Thompson on bass and guitar.
Don was also with the Kingtones from 1968-1972, coining it the “Henke Years”.
Sad News,
Don Henke, popular local singer and musician of the 60’s and 70’s passed away Saturday after suffering a brain aneurysm the previous Sunday,
you leave behind a lot of fond memories.
