Fred Tusch – vocals, Larry Nozzel – Guitar, Tom Lynch – bass, and Keith Mullins on drums
From Keith Mullins: The song, Laurie, was originally called Sherry, but because of the 4 seasons release that year, the name was changed to the name of our bass player’s girlfriend (at that time). Sherry was actually a girl that went to Creston (’64) – you know who you are.
The other members were Fred Tusch – vocals, Larry Nozzel – Guitar, Tom Lynch – bass and myself on drums.
I wrote the “A” side of our only recording and Bob Reinhardt (Bob and the Bandits) wrote the “B” side (Most of All) and produced it on his label – Loki. The record only had local coverage and was not really promoted. We disbanded about 6 months later.
Here’s an audio file of “Laurie” by Fred and the Chessmen:

This recording was located on the Top 50 charts for WGRD in March of 1963.
