Milton C. ‘Mel’ Plumley
April 26, 1943 – December 23, 2004
Milton C. “Mel” Plumley, 61, of Hines, WV, died 12:30 pm Thursday, December 23, 2004 at his home a long courageous battle with mesothelioma. Born April 26, 1943 in Summers County he was a son of Norma J. Plumley of Grand Rapids, MI and the late Clyde Curtis Plumley. Mel was preceded in death by his father Clyde C. Plumley, father in-law Neil DeWitt, and son in-law Sydney “Tyke” DeHaan. He is survived by his wife, Dendra DeWitt Plumley, of Hines, WV; four daughters, Karensa DiLorenzo of Hines, WV, Mandy Plumley of Hines, WV, Mary Whittsett of San Diego, CA, and Dusty Wybenga of Grand Rapids MI; three grandchildren, his pride and joy grandson Kaige DiLorenzo, granddaughter Krystal Duran of Grand Rapids, MI, grandson Devon Wybenga of Grand Rapids, MI; mother in-law, Treasure DeWitt of Grand Rapids, MI; sister, Gale K. Male and husband Arthur E. of Grand Rapids, MI. He was also survived by his stepdaughter, Thresa DeHaan Downin of Columbus, OH; stepson, Eric DeHaan in the US Army; step grandchildren, Sydney DeHaan and Olivia DeHaan. Also a very special friend Paul “Gig” Bragg of Elk Knob, WV. At Mel’s request he has been cremated. He will always be in our hearts.
